Washington County is a United States county located in the United States of Tennessee. In 2000, county's population was 107198 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 118639, It is the 11th most populous county in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It has total area of 329.8 square miles (854.18 sq km), of which, 326.31 square miles (845.14 sq km) of it is land and 3.49 square miles (9.04 sq km) of it is water, it is the 27th smallest in terms of geographical size.

In the county Population was distributed with 21.3% under the age of 18, 10.8% from 18 to 24, 30% from 25 to 44, 24% from 45 to 64, and 13.9% who were 65 or older. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 118639, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 93.76% White, 4.08% Black or African American, 0.25% American Indian, 0.79% Asian, 0.02% Native Hawaiian, and 1.11% from two or more races.
