Washington County is a one of the county from Ohio's 88 counties, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. It is home to over 63251 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 61567, giving it the 41st largest population among Ohio's county. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 640.15 sq mi (1657.98 kmē), of which, 635.15 square miles (1645.03 kmē) of it is land and 5 square miles (12.95 kmē) of it is water, it is the eighth largest in terms of geographical size.
