Washington County, Idaho is a county of the United States of Idaho. In 2000, the population was 9977. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 10206, It is Idaho's 27th most populous county. It has total area of 1473.54 mi˛ (3816.45 sq km), of which, 1456.32 square miles (3771.85 sq km) of it is land and 17.23 square miles (44.63 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 20th largest by total area in Idaho.

As of the census of 2000, there were 9977 people, 3762 households, and 2737 families living in the county. The population density was 6.9 people per square mile (2.66/km˛), it is the 26th most populated county in terms of population density. There were 4138 housing units at an average density of 2.8 per square mile (1.08/km˛). The average household size was 2.61 persons, and the average family size was 3.1 persons. In the county the population is diverse age-wise, with 27.4% under the age of 18, 7.2% from 18 to 24, 23.4% from 25 to 44, 24.3% from 45 to 64, and 17.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 95.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93 males. In July 2008, its estimated population was 10206, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 96.24% White, 0.13% Black or African American, 0.94% American Indian, 1.06% Asian, 0.22% Native Hawaiian, and 1.42% from two or more races.
