Washington County is a one of the county from Colorado's 63 counties, located in Western Region (Mountain) of United States. The population of the county was 4926 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 4497, It is 12th least populous county in Colorado. The county comprises an area of 2524.12 sq mi (6537.44 kmē), of which, 2520.98 square miles (6529.31 kmē) of it is land and 3.13 square miles (8.11 kmē) of it is water, it is the 12th largest by area in the U.S. state of Colorado.
