Washington City is a United States city located in the Fayette County, Ohio, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 13524 inhabitants. It is 127th most populous in Ohio. The city encompasses an area of 6.5 sq mi (16.83 sq km ), of which, 6.44 square miles (16.68 sq km) of it is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 160th largest by total area among Ohio.
