Washington City is a city located in the Tazewell County, Illinois, United States. The population of the city was 10841 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 13942, It is 193rd most populous in Illinois. It covers total area of 7.49 sq mi (19.4 sq km), of which, 7.48 square miles (19.37 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, making it the 123rd largest by size in Illinois.
