Washburn City is a one of the Bayfield County, Wisconsin, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Washburn City is home to 2280 inhabitants. It covers total area of 6.17 square miles (15.98 square kilometre), of which, 3.92 square miles (10.15 square kilometre) of it is land and 2.24 square miles (5.8 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 99th largest by area in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It is ranks 17 in the size of its inland waterways in Wisconsin.
