Warsaw City is one of the city of Benton County, Missouri, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 2070. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 2222, making it Missouri's 239th largest. The city extends throughout a territory of 2.17 mi˛ (5.62 sq km ), of which, 1.98 square miles (5.13 sq km) of it is land and 0.19 square miles (0.49 sq km) of it is water, making it the 247th largest by size in Missouri.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2070 people in the city, organized into 923 households, and 539 families living in the city. The population density was 1045.5 people per square mile (403.67/km˛), giving it the 389th most densely populated city among the Missouri. There were 1027 housing units at an average density of 518.7 per square mile (200.27/km˛). The average household size was 2.12 persons, and the average family size was 2.78 persons. Age range in the city was well distributed with 21.7% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 22.9% from 25 to 44, 21.2% from 45 to 64, and 27.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 79.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 77.7 males. The median age was 44.1 years, the median age of male residents at 40.4 and the median age of female residents at 46.2. The racial makeup of the city was 2036 White, 3 Black or African American, 9 American Indian, 1 Asian, 1 Native Hawaiian, 18 from two or more races and 2 Ohter races.
