Warren County is a one of the county from Iowa's 99 counties, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 40671 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 45059, It is Iowa's 12th most populous county. The county comprises an area of 573.21 square miles (1484.61 kmē), of which, 571.64 square miles (1480.54 kmē) of it is land and 1.56 square miles (4.04 kmē) of it is water, it is the 47th largest by area in the U.S. state of Iowa.

As of the census of 2000, there were 40671 residents, 14708 households, and 11214 families in the county. The population density was 71.1 people per square mile (27.45/kmē), it is 16th most densely populated county in Iowa. There were 15289 housing units at an average density of 26.7 per square mile (10.31/kmē). The average household size was 2.65 people, and the average family size was 3.05 people. In the county the population was spread out, with 27% under the age of 18, 9.7% from 18 to 24, 28.2% from 25 to 44, 23.2% from 45 to 64, and 11.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 94.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.8 males. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 45059, The racial makeup of the county was 98.07% White, 0.45% Black or African American, 0.2% American Indian, 0.5% Asian, 0.04% Native Hawaiian, and 0.74% from two or more races.
