In July 2008, its estimated population was 133939, It is the third largest in terms of population. The city comprises an area of 34.31 sq mi (88.86 kmē), of which, 34.29 square miles (88.81 kmē) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 14th largest by total area among Michigan.
