Wapakoneta City is one of the city of Auglaize County, Ohio, located towards the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. The city has a population of 9474 as per the 2000 census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 9438, making it the 183rd most populous in Ohio. The city has a total area of 5.71 miē (14.79 kmē), of which, 5.66 square miles (14.66 kmē) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 kmē) of it is water, it is the 177th largest by area in the U.S. state of Ohio.
