Wanamingo City is one of the city of Goodhue County, Minnesota, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 1007. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 1044, It is the 335th largest by population in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It is spread over 1.1 sq mi (2.85 sq km), makes it the 463rd largest by total area in Minnesota.
