Wamego City is one of the city of Pottawatomie County, Kansas, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 4246. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 4312, It is 65th most populous in Kansas. Its area is just over 1.67 sq mi (4.33 square kilometre), of which, 1.62 square miles (4.2 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 117th largest by size in Kansas.
