Walton Village is one of the city of Delaware County, New York, located towards the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, the population was 3070. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 2846, It is New York's 465th largest by population . The city comprises an area of 1.6 miē (4.14 kmē), of which, 1.58 square miles (4.09 kmē) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 kmē) of it is water, it is the 626th largest by area in the U.S. state of New York.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3070 people, 1366 households, and 818 families living in the city. The population density was 1945.2 people per square mile (751.05/kmē), making it the 412th most densely populated city in New York. There were 1514 housing units at an average density of 958.2 per square mile (369.96/kmē). The average household size was 2.22 people, and the average family size was 2.83 people. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 24.2% under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 26.1% from 25 to 44, 23.5% from 45 to 64, and 19.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 87.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 83.8 males. The median age of the city's population was 40.6 years, the median age of male residents at 39.2 and the median age of female residents at 41.8. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 3006 White, 10 Black or African American, 12 American Indian, 10 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 28 from two or more races and 4 Ohter races.
