Walnutport Borough is a one of the Northampton County, Pennsylvania, located in Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, the population was 2043. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 2185, It is the 612th largest in terms of population. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.81 square miles (2.1 sq km), of which, 0.75 square miles (1.94 sq km) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 sq km) of it is water, it is the 847th largest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2043 residents, 809 households, and 585 families in the borough. The population density was 2727.6 people per square mile (1053.13/kmē), it would be the 454th most densely populated borough in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. There were 865 housing units at an average density of 1153.3 per square mile (445.29/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.46 persons, and the average family size was 2.88 persons. In the borough the population was spread out, with 22% under the age of 18, 6.4% from 18 to 24, 29.6% from 25 to 44, 24.7% from 45 to 64, and 17.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 111.1 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 112.3 females. The median age of the borough's population was 40.5 years, the median age of male residents at 39.8 and the median age of female residents at 41.1. The racial makeup of the borough was 97.45% White, 0.39% Black or African American, 0.34% American Indian, 1.17% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 0.24% from two or more races and 0.39% Other races.
