Wailuku Cdp is a census designated place located in Maui County, Hawaii, in the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. In 2000, the population was 12296. It is Hawaii's 16th largest by population . Its area is just over 5.44 sq mi (14.09 square kilometre), of which, 5.07 square miles (13.13 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.37 square miles (0.96 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 49th largest by total area in Hawaii.

As of the census of 2000, there were 12296 people in the census designated place, organized into 4535 households, and 3016 families residing in the census designated place. The population density was 2427.4 people per square mile (937.22/kmē), it is the 37th most densely populated census designated place in the U.S. state of Hawaii.
