Wailua Cdp, Kauai County, Hawaii is a census designated place located in the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 2083. It is Hawaii's 76th largest by population . The census designated place comprises an area of 1.43 sq mi (3.7 kmē), of which, 1.29 square miles (3.34 kmē) of it is land and 0.14 square miles (0.36 kmē) of it is water, making it the 32nd smallest by size in Hawaii.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2083 people in the census designated place, organized into 781 households, and 549 families living in the census designated place. The population density was 1618.6 people per square mile (624.94/kmē), it is Hawaii's 49th most densely populated census designated place.
