Vinton Town is a town located in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 3338 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 3255, It is the 143rd largest in terms of population. The town has a total area of 4.95 sq mi (12.82 square kilometre), of which, 4.85 square miles (12.56 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 125th largest by area in the U.S. state of Louisiana.

The racial or ethnic makeup of the town was 74.57% White, 23.31% Black or African American, 0.6% American Indian, 0.21% Asian, 0.09% Native Hawaiian, 1.14% from two or more races and 0.09% Other races.
