Vining City is a United States city located in the Otter Tail County, Minnesota, United States. The population of the city was 68 as per the 2000 census data. Its population was estimated at 66 in July 2008, making it the 40th least populous in Minnesota. The city comprises an area of 1.31 sq mi (3.39 sq km), of which, 1.27 square miles (3.29 sq km) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 sq km) of it is water, it is the 419th largest by area in the U.S. state of Minnesota.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 68 residents, 32 households, and 20 families in the city. The population density was 53.6 people per square mile (20.7/kmē), it is the 34th least populated city in terms of population density.
