Ville Platte City is a city located in the Evangeline Parish, Louisiana, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 8145 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 8190, It is the 69th largest by population in the U.S. state of Louisiana. Its area is just over 3.06 mi˛ (7.93 square kilometre), makes it the 198th largest by total area in Louisiana.
