Vernon County, Wisconsin is a county of the United States of Wisconsin. In 2000, the population was 28056. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 29090, It is 43rd most populous county in Wisconsin. The county comprises an area of 816.41 sq mi (2114.49 kmē), of which, 794.87 square miles (2058.7 kmē) of it is land and 21.54 square miles (55.79 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 38th largest by total area in Wisconsin.
