In July 2008, its estimated population was 20946, It is Florida's 156th largest by population . According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 9.66 sq mi (25.02 kmē), of which, 9.12 square miles (23.62 kmē) of it is land and 0.55 square miles (1.42 kmē) of it is water, making it Florida's 193rd largest by total area.
