Venango County, Pennsylvania is a county located in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. The county has a population of 57565 as per the 2000 census data. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 54423, making it Pennsylvania's 43rd largest county. The county comprises an area of 683.02 mi˛ (1769.01 square kilometre), of which, 675.04 square miles (1748.35 square kilometre) of it is land and 7.98 square miles (20.67 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 32nd largest by size in Pennsylvania.

For every 100 males there were 104.8 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 108.5 females. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 54423, The racial makeup of the county was 97.36% White, 1.28% Black or African American, 0.22% American Indian, 0.3% Asian, 0.02% Native Hawaiian, and 0.82% from two or more races.
