Vandemere Town is a town located in the Pamlico County, North Carolina, United States. As of 2000 the population was 289. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 268, giving it the 83rd smallest population among North Carolina. The town extends throughout a territory of 1.62 sq mi (4.2 kmē ), of which, 1.5 square miles (3.88 kmē) of it is land and 0.12 square miles (0.31 kmē) of it is water, it is the 422nd largest by area in the U.S. state of North Carolina.

As of the census of 2000, there were 289 people, 123 households, and 79 families living in the town. The population density was 192.7 people per square mile (74.4/kmē), it is the 72nd least populated town in terms of population density. There were 153 housing units at an average density of 102 per square mile (39.38/kmē). The average household size was 2.35 and the average family size was 3.05.
