Valparaiso City is a city located in the Porter County, Indiana, United States. The city has a population of 27428 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 30429, It is the 31st largest in terms of population. Its area is just over 10.99 sq mi (28.46 kmē), of which, 10.9 square miles (28.23 kmē) of it is land and 0.08 square miles (0.21 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 44th largest by total area in Indiana.
