As of July 2008, the estimated population was 1922, It is the 66th largest in terms of population. The city encompasses an area of 1.55 sq mi (4.01 sq km ), of which, 1.52 square miles (3.94 sq km) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 sq km) of it is water, making it the 56th largest by size in Nebraska. It is ranks 19 in the size of its inland waterways in Nebraska.
