Union Point City is one of the city of Greene County, Georgia, located towards the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 1669 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 1529, It is the 272nd largest by population in the U.S. state of Georgia. The city encompasses an area of 2.09 square miles (5.41 square kilometre ), of which, 2.06 square miles (5.34 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 360th largest by area in the U.S. state of Georgia.

In the city the population was distributed as follows: 26.7% under the age of 18, 9.7% from 18 to 24, 24.9% from 25 to 44, 21.7% from 45 to 64, and 17% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 85.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 77.2 males.
