Union County is a one of the county from Georgia's 159 counties, located in Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. Union County had an official population of 17289 in 2000. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 21351, giving it the 85th largest population among Georgia's county. Its area is just over 329.02 square miles (852.16 sq km), of which, 322.55 square miles (835.4 sq km) of it is land and 6.47 square miles (16.76 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 89th largest by total area in Georgia.
