Union City is a city located in Hardin County, Iowa, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 427. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 388, It is the 516th most populous in the U.S. state of Iowa. The city comprises an area of 0.55 sq mi (1.42 square kilometre), making it the 602nd largest by size in Iowa.
