Tybee Island City is a United States city located in the Chatham County, Georgia, United States. Tybee Island City had an official population of 3392 in 2000. The July 2008 population estimate is 3860, giving it the 181st largest population among Georgia. The city has a total area of 2.67 mi˛ (6.92 sq km), of which, 2.56 square miles (6.63 sq km) of it is land and 0.12 square miles (0.31 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 315th largest by total area among Georgia.
