Tulsa City is a one of the Osage, Rogers, Tulsa and Wagoner counties, Oklahoma, located in Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. Tulsa City had an official population of 393049 in 2000. Its population was estimated at 385635 in July 2008, It is the second largest by population in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. It covers total area of 186.84 mi˛ (483.91 square kilometre), of which, 182.65 square miles (473.06 square kilometre) of it is land and 4.19 square miles (10.85 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the third largest by size in Oklahoma. It is ranks seventh in the size of its inland waterways in Oklahoma.

As of the census of 2000, there were 393049 people in the city, organized into 165743 households, and 99094 families residing in the city. The population density was 2152 people per square mile (830.89/km˛), making its Oklahoma's 16th most densely populated city. There were 179405 housing units at an average density of 982.2 per square mile (379.23/km˛). It has an average household size was 2.31 persons, and the average family size was 2.98 persons. In the Tulsa City, 24.8% of the population was under the age of 18, 10.9% were 18 to 24, 29.9% were 25 to 44, 21.5% were 45 to 64, and 12.9% who were 65 or older.
