Trumbull County, Ohio is a county of the United States of Ohio. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 225116 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 211317, It is the 12th most populous county in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 634.72 square miles (1643.92 kmē), of which, 616.48 square miles (1596.68 kmē) of it is land and 18.24 square miles (47.24 kmē) of it is water, it is the ninth largest by area in the U.S. state of Ohio. It is ranks eighth in the size of its inland waterways in Ohio.

The population density was 365.2 people per square mile (141/kmē), it is the 14th most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Ohio. There were 95117 housing units at an average density of 154.3 per square mile (59.58/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.48 persons, and the average family size was 3.02 persons. In the county the population was spread out, with 24.4% under the age of 18, 7.7% from 18 to 24, 27.3% from 25 to 44, 24.8% from 45 to 64, and 15.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 93.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.6 males. Its population was estimated at 211317 in July 2008, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 190420 White, 17007 Black or African American, 387 American Indian, 989 Asian, 37 Native Hawaiian, and 2477 from two or more races.
