Trinity City, Randolph County, North Carolina is a city located in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 6690 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 6977, making it the 99th most populous in North Carolina. The city extends throughout a territory of 16.99 miē (44 kmē ), of which, 16.9 square miles (43.77 kmē) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 kmē) of it is water, it is the 40th largest by area in the U.S. state of North Carolina.

As of the census of 2000, there were 6690 residents, 2638 households, and 2057 families in the city. The population density was 395.9 people per square mile (152.86/kmē), giving it the 174th least densely populated city among the North Carolina. There were 2759 housing units at an average density of 163.3 per square mile (63.05/kmē). The average household size was 2.54 people, and the average family size was 2.86 people. In the city Age distribution was 22.5% under the age of 18, 6.9% from 18 to 24, 29.1% from 25 to 44, 29.7% from 45 to 64, and 11.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 102.4 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 105.5 females. The median age is 39.7 years, the median age of male residents at 38.6 and the median age of female residents at 41. The racial makeup of the city was 93.05% White, 5.04% Black or African American, 0.63% American Indian, 0.54% Asian, 0.01% Native Hawaiian, 0.4% from two or more races and 0.33% Other races.
