Its area is just over 36.06 sq mi (93.39 kmē), of which, 35.16 square miles (91.06 kmē) of it is land and 0.9 square miles (2.33 kmē) of it is water, it is the seventh largest by area in the U.S. state of Indiana. It is ranks 18 in the size of its inland waterways in Indiana.
