Trenton City is a city located in Gilchrist County, Florida, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, the population was 1617. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 1862, It is Florida's 221st smallest by population . The city encompasses an area of 2.59 square miles (6.71 kmē), giving it the 540th largest by total area among Florida.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1617 people, 608 households, and 391 families residing in the city.
