Traverse City City is a United States city located in the Grand Traverse and Leelanau counties, Michigan, United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Traverse City City is home to 14532 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 14398, It is the 84th largest in terms of population. It has total area of 8.7 sq mi (22.53 sq km), of which, 8.41 square miles (21.78 sq km) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.78 sq km) of it is water, it is the 73rd largest by area in the U.S. state of Michigan.
