Townsend City is a one of the Broadwater County, Montana, located in Western Region (Mountain) of United States. As per the 2000 census, town has a population of 1867 inhabitants. The town's estimated population as of July 2008 was 2030, making it the 49th most populous in Montana. The town comprises an area of 1.59 sq mi (4.12 square kilometre), makes it the 140th largest by total area in Montana.
