Tonka Bay City is a city located in Hennepin County, Minnesota, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. The city has a population of 1547 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 1545, It is 273rd most populous in Minnesota. Its area is just over 0.98 mi˛ (2.54 sq km), of which, 0.95 square miles (2.46 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, it is the 532nd largest in terms of geographical size.
