Tomahawk City is a United States city located in the Lincoln County, Wisconsin, United States. Tomahawk City had an official population of 3770 in 2000. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 3695, It is Wisconsin's 154th largest by population . The city extends throughout a territory of 8.84 sq mi (22.9 sq km ), of which, 7.44 square miles (19.27 sq km) of it is land and 1.4 square miles (3.63 sq km) of it is water, it is the 66th largest by area in the U.S. state of Wisconsin.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3770 people, 76 households, and 48 families residing in the city. The population density was 506.8 people per square mile (195.68/kmē), making its Wisconsin's 186th least densely populated city.
