Tipton City is a city located in Mitchell County, Kansas, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 243. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 226, making it the 409th most populous in Kansas. It is spread over 0.25 square miles (0.65 square kilometre), making it the 161st smallest by size in Kansas.
