Tipton City is a city located in Tipton County, Indiana, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 5251. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 5006, It is Indiana's 117th largest by population . The city has a total area of 1.85 square miles (4.79 kmē), it is the 191st largest by area in the U.S. state of Indiana.
