Tippecanoe County is a United States county located in the United States of Indiana. In 2000, the population was 148955. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 164237, It is eighth most populous county in Indiana. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 503.07 mi˛ (1302.95 square kilometre), of which, 499.79 square miles (1294.45 square kilometre) of it is land and 3.28 square miles (8.5 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 13th largest by area in the U.S. state of Indiana.

In July 2008, its estimated population was 164237, The racial makeup of the county was 147095 White, 5912 Black or African American, 578 American Indian, 8738 Asian, 62 Native Hawaiian, and 1852 from two or more races.
