Tippecanoe County is a United States county located in the United States of Indiana. In 2000, the population was 148955. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 164237, It is eighth most populous county in Indiana. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 503.07 mi˛ (1302.95 square kilometre), of which, 499.79 square miles (1294.45 square kilometre) of it is land and 3.28 square miles (8.5 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 13th largest by area in the U.S. state of Indiana.

The population density was 298 people per square mile (115.06/km˛), it is the 13th most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Indiana. The population's age distribution was 20.9% under the age of 18, 25.4% from 18 to 24, 27.1% from 25 to 44, 17.4% from 45 to 64, and 9.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 105.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 105.1 males. In July 2008, its estimated population was 164237, The racial makeup of the county was 147095 White, 5912 Black or African American, 578 American Indian, 8738 Asian, 62 Native Hawaiian, and 1852 from two or more races.
