Tioga City is a one of the Williams County, North Dakota, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. Tioga City had an official population of 1125 in 2000. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 1096, giving it the 45th largest population among North Dakota. It covers total area of 1.39 mi˛ (3.6 sq km), of which, 1.31 square miles (3.39 sq km) of it is land and 0.08 square miles (0.21 sq km) of it is water, making it the 72nd largest by size in North Dakota. It is ranks 17 in the size of its inland waterways in North Dakota.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1125 residents, 490 households, and 311 families in the city. The population density was 856.1 people per square mile (330.54/km˛), making its North Dakota's 100th most densely populated city. There were 569 housing units at an average density of 434.4 per square mile (167.72/km˛). The average household size was 2.22 people, and the average family size was 2.86 people. In the city the population was spread out, with 22.5% under the age of 18, 4.2% from 18 to 24, 23.4% from 25 to 44, 23.5% from 45 to 64, and 26.5% who were 65 or older.
