Tillamook County is one of the 36 county of Oregon, located towards the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. The population of county in 2000 stood at 24262 as per the Census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 24927, giving it the 22nd largest population among Oregon's county. The county extends throughout a territory of 1332.78 mi˛ (3451.88 square kilometre ), of which, 1102.15 square miles (2854.56 square kilometre) of it is land and 230.63 square miles (597.33 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 24th largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks third in the size of its inland waterways in Oregon.

The population density was 22 people per square mile (8.49/km˛), it would be the 18th most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Oregon. There were 15906 housing units at an average density of 14.4 per square mile (5.56/km˛). The average household size was 2.33 persons, and the average family size was 2.82 persons. In the county the population was spread out, with 22.2% under the age of 18, 6.5% from 18 to 24, 23.5% from 25 to 44, 28% from 45 to 64, and 19.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 99.6 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 101.9 females. In July 2008, its estimated population was 24927, The racial makeup of the county was 23690 White, 122 Black or African American, 342 American Indian, 221 Asian, 61 Native Hawaiian, and 491 from two or more races.
