It is Maryland's 81st smallest by population . The census designated place spans an area of 2.85 sq mi (7.38 square kilometre), of which, 2.7 square miles (6.99 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.14 square miles (0.36 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 192nd largest by area in the U.S. state of Maryland.
