The city encompasses an area of 27.2 sq mi (70.45 sq km ), of which, 26.86 square miles (69.57 sq km) of it is land and 0.34 square miles (0.88 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 22nd largest by total area in Colorado. It is ranks 14 in the size of its inland waterways in Colorado.
