Thornton City is a United States city located in the Calhoun County, Arkansas, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 517 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 491, It is 285th most populous in Arkansas. The city comprises an area of 1.93 sq mi (5 sq km), of which, 1.91 square miles (4.95 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, it is the 253rd largest in terms of geographical size.
