Thomson City is a city located in the Carlton County, Minnesota, United States. In 2000, the population was 153. In July 2008, its estimated population was 163, giving it the 146th smallest population among Minnesota. It covers total area of 2.22 sq mi (5.75 sq km), of which, 1.88 square miles (4.87 sq km) of it is land and 0.34 square miles (0.88 sq km) of it is water, it is the 287th largest by area in the U.S. state of Minnesota.
