Thompsons Town is one of the town of Fort Bend County, Texas, located towards the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 236 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 439, It is the 140th smallest in terms of population. It is spread over 8.37 square miles (21.68 sq km), of which, 6.19 square miles (16.03 sq km ) of it is land and 2.18 square miles (5.65 sq km) of it is water, it is the 271st largest by area in the U.S. state of Texas.
