As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 5907 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 6030 in July 2008, making it Ohio's 256th largest. It has total area of 18.59 sq mi (48.15 kmē), of which, 18.53 square miles (47.99 kmē) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 41st largest by total area among Ohio.
